Playing for Birmingham beach was truly a blessing for me. The 4 years I was able to play there was the best part of my junior volleyball career. Every coach is there to build you up as a player and as a person. At Birmingham beach you can tell that the coaches love their job, the sport, and most importantly their athletes. They provide top of the line coaching and feedback as well as keeping the focus on the love of beach volleyball. Every practice was the best part of my week. I would drive an hour to Birmingham and then an hour back for practice once or twice a week but it was always worth the drive. I’ve made some good friends and great memories at Birmingham beach. I would not have been able to play at the next level without Joe and Jodie and the countless other coaches that gave their free time to make me a better player! They are both great people and great coaches/players. Whether you are a multi sport athlete or beach only, Birmingham beach is where you want to be!
